What resort in Jamaica will provide us with a beautiful wedding, elegant, serene atmostphere and romance?
We married in August, and have passed Jamaica for our destination! The next step is to select a location that is inclusive and handles all the wedding details. We are planning to have a handful of family members to attend the ceremony. We have looked at Sandals, Beaches, breezes, and Couples Resorts in Jamaica. Can anyone give us the first part of the votes of experience wedding in Jamaica? Even better … all photos? Thanks SOOOOO much!
I married at Sandals Montego Bay last November. The wedding reception honeymoon and cost about $ 15,000. We stayed 10 days and had a total of 20 people (clients pay for their flights and hotel). Some stayed outside the locality, so we had to pay $ 85 pp for the day passes so they can use on the property. Sandals did an excellent job, but I would not recommend the resort of Montego Bay. It is directly opposite the airport, they are doing renovations on 2 of the restaurants, and pools are old. Negril and I hear the White House is supposed to be great. Once you decide to go with sandals, you'll be in touch with a wedding coordinator to help plan (not in the site). You choose your wedding package and put down deposits on all (photographer, band, reception, etc.). We did a wedding 1 hour with a DJ and choose the photo package $ 1200 (the photographer took 170 pictures and you to pick their favorites, who ended up buying additional photos before they left). We are very pleased. TIP: You can ask a guest to the wedding video tape instead of paying for the cameraman. When his arrival, meet with your coordinator at the site of the wedding. This appointment. takes approximately 2 hours and go over every detail (location, decor, flowers, music, etc.). Be prepared to spend some more money. Tip: Ask for fresh flowers. Bring a list of guests – including its relationship with you so you know where to sit. We had the opportunity to meet the minister of up to 5 minutes before the wedding – he visited with my husband and then me. We chose music pre-recorded for the ceremony, which sounded great (I was a bit worried). The ceremony lasted approx. 20 minutes, then signed the marriage license, took some professional photographs, and then went to the reception. After the reception, we took some professional photos on the beach and around the complex. In general, wedding was perfect.
