being unique in terms of dress considered a fashion disaster?

I like to wear only at times, especially when I'm mood to try something different and new, or when I'm bored by dressing up the 'safe' way all the time. I mix and match the different layers and check the full length mirror to look good. but the problem is, when I leave the house, I get looks from people everywhere! once there was this belt spaghetti with a long-sleeved jacket of the same, shorts and mini knee socks, and I could feel that people were looking at me. im not sure if it's a look positive or negative, however. anyway, my point / question is, is to be considered only as a fashion disaster? so, how can you be unique without being fashion? disaster if, thanks for answering (:

Make a fashion statement is not synonymous with being a fashion disaster at all. The biggest fashion designers to do just that all the time, year after year, the difference is that rarely see their creations being used by people on the streets. If being original and different from the masses is part of what is then standing on your taste and the choices and not feel hurt by others looking at you, because you can not say for sure if they like what using or not. If you refrain from dressing as you like, then you will not be totally happy and that will not help you feel more confident and assertive. Social pressure conformity is very strong but there is still room for originality and uniqueness. Be yourself and some people like that, because you're different, it is true, unusual, creative, passionate, extrovert, innovative, not déjà vu, and "cutting edge. Do not give up. Hold on tight.
