HDTV and upscale DVD player?
I have a HDTV and i Also get the Toshiba DVD player upscale to take advatage of the high defination. However, one problem is When the Those two i hook up by HDMI. The problem is That There is no audio when i turn on the TV Before the DVD player. But if I turn the TV Before DVD player, everything is ok. Can you help me with this guy problem?
It has to do with the 'handshake' between the TV and the DVD player. HDMI Allows for two way communication, however Not all companies are as well versed in software programming. The result is odd quirks connection. Most Likely the DVD is Not Receiving an audio signal from the TV capability When the TV is turn on first. Unless one or Both of the Manufacturers offer a firmware upgrade, you will Have to Have the DVD player on first. Sorry!
