What is the best site to download DVD’s? I need a format that will play in my dvd player.?
I’ve found plenty of sites to download mp4’s and avi’s, but I’m having trouble getting the format I need for a dvd player.
There is no single “DVD” format. Videos that you play on your DVD player actually consist of several files, which include VOB, IFO, & BUP files. To play an AVI or MP4 in your DVD player, you first need a program that not only transfers such files to a blank DVD, but also transcodes them into the proper files AND structure to be recognized by the player.
I use Nero, which considers AVI, MPG, WMV, etc to be “Data” files and can burn a Data disc for me. Or I can tell it to create a “Video” disc and Nero will transcode the AVI files into the appropriate VOB and IFO files necessary for my DVD player.
